Eddy current testing (ET) is one of the primary methods of nondestructive testing. It is used to test ferrous and non-ferrous materials for flaws, such as cracks, inclusions or corrosion without damage to the material. It is also used for sorting alloys and determining heat-treatment. ET is widely used in metal-producing, aerospace, automotive, marine, nuclear, petro-chemical and heating/cooling industries.
